Events and Things to Do in Restoule Area
Restoule is located 2 1/2 hours North of Toronto.
Restoule has three lakes, Lake Restoule, Commanda Lake, and Stormy Lake. There are public boat launches for all three lakes should you want to try fishing for different species. You can fish Commanda Lake Pickerel, Pike, Large and Smallmouth Bass, Cat fish and Crappy. Lake Restoule can catch Muskie, Lake Trout, Splake, Walleye, Pike, Large and Smallmouth Bass, and Lake Whitefish. Stormy lake is stocked with Bass and Trout.
There are many hiking and biking trails for all levels of fitness and adventure.
Rockcliffe Pottery and Craft Store and Stonethrow Pottery are two very unique artisan stores to visit during your stay.
Boards Honey Farm located on 534 offers factory tours where you might see the kitchen at work with honey. If you are curious as to how honey is made be sure to bring your questions. Tour the spectacular property and be sure to visit the store.
Fall colours are spectacular. We are surrounded by Oak, Maple, Birch, and Pine trees.
Shopping is close by in North Bay or Hunstville. There are many festivals, concerts and fairs surrounding the area during summer and fall. Watch our site for updates.
Restoule community centre offers some events and will be posted here.
Where to eat?
Angela's Ice Cream/ Pizza / Chip stand Serving wraps, burgers, fries, "Excellent food". Picnic tables are available for your enjoyment.
Crow's Nest is located in Restoule. Licenced, open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
Jakes place in Port Loring a short scenic 25 minute jaunt.
The legion has wing night on Friday night (open to the public). You can also get hamburgers and fish and chips. Open to the public.
Fishing, hunting, hiking, swimming, water sports, ice fishing, ATV trails, snowmobiling trails are just a few things you can do while visiting us in Restoule at Cozy Commanda Lake Cottages.
There are numerous golf courses in the area. Osprey links Golf or Terrace Suites located in Callander, Northern Palms in Arnstein, Clear Springs Golf Course , and High View in both Powassan. These courses are all a short 30 minuite maximum drive.
